just wan to say a very big thank you to all for making this trip a successful one!
Want to say a very big thankyou especially to the drivers! i hope that no white hair grew just from the trip? hehe.. can imagine the stress that u all must have gone through trying to keep up with each other..
also want to say a big thanks to Catherine for leading the way, to Kelvin organizing this whole thing especially the prayer list..
and lastly want to give all praise n glory to God that none of us got hurt throughout the whole journey and that He kept the weather for us!! imagine if it rained.. !!

Preparing and serving tea for Nepali brothers
Date: 4 Oct 2009
Time: 1.20pm - 3pm
Venue: Church canteen
What to do?: Prepare tea (Ms. Christina Low will be present to help us here) and arrange the food bought (to buy bananas and swiss roll cake for 50ppl) and to get to know the Nepali brothers (hence more guys should come as looking at how shy the Nepalese guys are, they will feel more comfortable talking to guys, they are mostly in their 20s to 30s)

Mooncake Festival Prayer Gathering
Dear all who are going for the mooncake festival prayer gathering,
please be punctual as we will be leaving from church at 6pm sharp!
another thing is for the females..
dresscode is jeans.. NO skirts.. for i don't think u wan to be up in the chilly area wearing a skirt for there's very strong wind up in the Look Out Point..
and a gentle reminder that there is NO MYF THIS COMING SAT, 26th Sep 2009..

"maturity" as "deliberateness of action, mature consideration, due deliberation, fullness or perfection of natural development, ripeness, due promptness, the state of being complete, perfect, ready," and so on (The Oxford Dictionary)
The state or quality of being fully grown or developed (The American Heritage® Dictionary)...........aha finally a definition which I've reached through the natural biological dev. process.
"I think maturity can come from a combination of age and experience": Quote fr unknown person
Ok,,,,,,,,,,,,so by googling the word maturity anyone can come up with a 1001 definitions, but what is Maturity from a Christian perspective?
Does it inv perfection? Or age and experience? Or being fully developed?
Come and find out as I share some golden nuggets picked up from our recent MYF camp, Survivor or Victor?

Mooncake Festival Prayer Gathering at Lookout Point
As the title has stated it all.. MOONCAKE FESTIVAL PRAYER GATHERING
Date: 26/09/2009 (saturday)
Time: 6-9pm
Dinner: Approx RM20
(Restoran Them Yew, No. 1G, Jln Wawasan 4/1, Bandar Baru Ampang, 68000 Ampang, Selangor)
Venue : Lookout Point, Ampang
We will be meeting in church at 6pm, leave for dinner before going to Ampang lookout point for prayer over our nation, especially KL and followed by mooncake festival themed activity. All are welcomed to bring their own favourite lanterns or mooncakes for the night.
Please RSVP by 23rd Sept, for us to make necessary arrangements.

Throwing out the Trash
Hey guys!
Just want to let everybody that Mandy is going to give a sharing this Saturday (12th September, 2009). Here's what she has to say:
"This Saturday we will be spring cleaning our minds, continuation from camp theme talks' Mindset.
Everyday we take in a lot of information, most of the time we end up collecting rubbish. When was the last time you threw out lies, fantasies, earthy desires, philosophies that center on self, revenge, doubt, worries, rebellion... etc? And replacing them with truths, good things, or lovely things or anything excellent from God's point of view?
There is a stern warning in 1 John 2:15-16,
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world."
There is a way, God always provides a way and it involves us to make the decision to rid of the worldly thoughts cluttering our minds. Imagine if you don't rid of the trash, so it stays in your room, whatever sweet perfume or incense you may spray or burn, the rotting stench from the trash will be covering up whatever nice smell you try to bring into your room. So are we going to be thinking of God spontaneously, abundantly and delightfully or are we gonna keep storing trash?
Remember,
... brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)"

Camp Aftermath....
Hi everyone!!!
We're very pleased to say that the camp that went on last week was a huge success, given the number of happy faces who came back from there. I enjoyed very much there myself too, as the camp was neither too tiring or boring. After having heard what Mr. Selvaraj said, as Christians we must not only merely live on earth as survivors but to go forth in life to become a victor by having a changed mindset (the mindset of Christ), being mature by reading His Word, respond to our own callings for ministries, and finally to continue the works of Christ by being involved in Missions...
For those who missed the camp, what can I say... (you really did miss quite a lot, I'm sure many would agree with me...) But no matter, some of the MYFers including myself have posted some of the camp photos on our Facebook. And since a picture is worth a thousand words, what are you waiting for? Here's a group photo taken just before we left for home.

And one more announcement before I take my leave, there will be no MYF meeting this Saturday (5th September, 2009). So if you're planning to share your lovely experiences with each other, I'm sorry to say that you'll just have to do so next week.It's been a wonderful experience for me managing and posting on the blog, but I can't be doing this forever, since (you know who) is back from NS. So I guess I'll just hand back the responsibility. (edited: I'm taking back what I've just said... for now!)
